Product information "Salmon sperm DNA sodium salt (sonified)"
To prevent nonspecific binding of the probe to the membrane in Southern and Northern hybridization, Salmon perm DNA is added to the prehybridization solutions (Blotto, Denhardt"s et al.). The lyophilized DNA should be dissolved in sterile, bidist. water (stock solution eg 10 mg / ml) and stored at -20° C. The DNA should be used at a final concentration of 100 µg / ml. Fragment size: 10-330 base pairs.
